The theme for the night is music and movement that has influenced pop culture. Expect an eclectic playlist that moves through soul, disco, 90’s RnB, 90’s dance music, Brit Pop, all your favourite Divas and some of the hottest new artists.

I was going to do a fancy edit of our final routine, but I kept coming back to this video. It was wonderful to step out and watch everyone moving together so beautifully as a group!!

I always love watching people grow in confidence and ability over the 8 week course. Thank you all for your enthusiasm and dedication through the weeks. Well done 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Practice the basics in contemporary dance techniques and learn a choreographed routine!

Weeks 1 - 2 / Focus purely on warm up exercises, contemporary dance technique and the physics of movement.

Weeks 3 - 6 / Continue your practice and learn a choreographed routine.

Weeks 7 - 8 / Fully embody the movement, move, explore, express!

Curious Mover is passionate about providing dance experiences that balance technical practice with the joy and freedom of movement!

Learn a short routine to a mash up of WE FOUND LOVE and RUDE BOY inspired by Rihanna’s iconic performance at the 2023 Super Bowl.

Planing sessions around hip stability is essential for building balance, cardio-ready strength, and overall ease of movement.
The real magic happens when we apply these foundations to specific disciplines. This Saturday, I’m thrilled to be guesting with @curious_mover for Stabilise to Mobilise, a session specifically for dancers.
Hip stability for dancers looks like:
🪩 Seamless Balance | Finding centre
🪩 Single Leg Stability | The foundation for every kick and turn.
🪩 Shock Absorption | Protecting the body during landings.
🪩 Explosive Power | The drive to jump and travel through space.

Here is a collection of exercises focusing on hip stability. These movements follow similar patterns while gradually increasing the challenge.
